    STOICISM presented in EUROROCK Conference in Salzburg, Austria

    As member of STOICISM project, the Exeter University team lead by Dr. Coggan, presented the contribution: ‘Remediation of a hazardous legacy slope face using pre-split blasting’ in the EUROCK2015 conference which took place on 7-10 October in Salzburg (Austria) back to back with the 64th Geomechanics Colloquium, organized by the Austrian Society for Geomechanics. The paper describes the remediation undertaken to alleviate the significant hazard associated with a 26m high legacy slope within an operating china clay pit in SW of England.

    STOICISM awarded the SIM 2014 award in dedicated minerals event in France

    Imerys team, as lead partner of the STOICISM consortium, represented by Dr. Saeid Moradi presented the poster ‘STOICISM and Sustainable Technologies for Calcined Industrial Minerals in Europe’ at the 9th International Industrial Minerals Symposium (INDIM) that took place on 14-15 May 2015 in Izmir (Turkey). His contribution discussed the findings of the STOICISM project as well as the next steps towards the improvement of the extraction, processing and better performance of different industrial minerals during the use in multiple applications.
